Chinese Dhaba Information

Forno De Barro, located in the heart of Ouro Preto at Praça Tiradentes, 54, offers a welcoming dining experience with a focus on hearty, home-style Brazilian cuisine. This restaurant stands out for its buffet, which features a wide variety of dishes that highlight the richness of local flavors. The buffet is particularly well-regarded for its delicious and savory offerings, making it a great choice for those seeking a satisfying meal in a quick and convenient setting. While it does not offer desserts, the extensive selection of main dishes more than makes up for it. The ambiance is warm and comfortable, with a cozy, homely feel that evokes the spirit of a traditional "grandmother's kitchen."

Despite being a popular spot, especially during peak hours, Forno De Barro maintains a reputation for offering good value for money. The buffet price is typically R$45, but with certain discounts, it can be reduced to R$30, which many patrons feel enhances the overall dining experience. The restaurant has earned praise for the quality of its food, with a number of visitors commenting on the authenticity of the flavors, which resemble the comfort food of family gatherings. Service is another highlight, with the staff being described as friendly, polite, and attentive, which contributes to the overall positive experience.

Though some customers felt that the menu could include a broader selection of typical Minas Gerais dishes, the restaurant still provides a solid culinary experience for its price point. Whether you're in the mood for a quick bite in the city center or a satisfying, home-style meal, Forno De Barro stands as a go-to option for those exploring Ouro Preto's dining scene.

What People's Say About Place

We were interested in having Hama Chinese food and online reviews said to try this so we decided to check it out. portion size is really good and they have a lunch special which we tried as well we got the veggie haka noodles, the paneer manchurian wet and the lunch special chicken 65 with rice. the portion size was huge but the flavors were more indian-based rather than a fusion. the haka noodles were good, the chicken was spicy to some average to others, and the paneer had more of a chili flavor. overall good portion size but not necessarily haka flavors

We got the Lo mein, orange chicken and American chop suey. The cashier was nice and the place has lots of seating and parking. The wait for the food wasn’t that long and came out pretty quickly

We have been coming here often! Absolutely love the food. It's always clean and the staff is friendly. Love the Gobi Macherian dry very unique and delicious cuisine.

Chinese Dhaba is a hidden gem! We drove past it a few times without giving it much thought, but finally decided to give it a try—and boy, are we glad we did. The food was soooooo good—bursting with flavor, perfectly cooked, and served hot. It’s halal. From the first bite, it was clear this place knows what it’s doing. A must-try spot that definitely deserves more attention.

Chinese Dhaba is one of my favorite spots for delicious Indo-Chinese food! The flavors are bold, fresh, and perfectly balanced — from their crispy Manchurian to flavorful Hakka noodles, everything tastes authentic and freshly made. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the service is always warm and welcoming.

Got a takeout of Garlic chicken fried rice. Wasn't expecting much coz of the modest pricing. The taste is average and quantity is good. The main problem is the chicken used was chewy & not fresh. Couldn't even finish. Im rating 4 so I don't harm the business but really it was 3. Won't risk again with my health.

Food came out in 10 to 15 minutes. The garlic fried rice had so much garlic in it, it was very enjoyable. We also got the gobi manchurian and that was perfectly spicy. We will be back.

The food taste great. Very flavor-able. I got the beef fried rice and the wings from Heaven!! My fist time. Will be back!!
